The IWS R-DWC Pro is a practical and easy-to-use hydroponic system that uses Recirculating Deep Water Culture (R-DWC) to deliver excellent results. With 8 pots connected to a 250L reservoir, this system is designed to keep your plants' roots oxygenated and your nutrient solution balanced. A built-in timer circulates the solution daily, ensuring it stays fresh and evenly mixed.
This system is ideal for growers who want to increase yields without overcomplicating their setup. The pots can be spaced as close or as far apart as you need, and the system is expandable, so you can add more pots as you gain experience. It’s quiet, requires little growing media, and allows easy access to plant roots for monitoring and adjustments.
For the best results, we recommend changing the nutrient solution weekly. This prevents nutrient concentration from increasing as plants use water, helping you maintain healthy growth and avoid problems like overfeeding.
Environmental Factors
Like all hydroponic systems, the IWS R-DWC Pro works best when adjusted to your growing conditions. For example, in hot and dry environments, plants use more water than nutrients, which can increase the strength of your solution. To compensate, use a lower nutrient concentration and increase watering frequency, potentially up to once per hour. In cooler, more humid spaces, you can use stronger nutrients and reduce feeding to once every 2–3 hours.
Maintenance Tips
To avoid root blockages, use the included copper root control discs and rotate the inner pots every few days to keep roots away from the tubing. If you suspect a blockage, pour 5–8 liters of nutrient solution directly through the pot and check the flow. Regular cleaning of the reservoir and brain pot is essential to avoid debris buildup that could interfere with operation.
For long-lasting performance, stick to mineral fertilizers, as they’re compatible with this system and help ensure consistent results.
